UcOtt Raddio Daddio is my education/art on the radio.
I originally performed shows live and that’s where I would like to go again, but I’m just starting to get back into things, and I’m finding this radio show a good place to hammer out some ideas, so that’s what I’m doing.
I have a series of performances or units. I have 13 such units, each composed of four sub units which are two hours long, so it turns out to be about 104 hrs. 2 hrs a week for a year. I’ve been using Friday night 10 to 12 lately but I used Thursday night before and I don’t really mind changing to whichever night works out. I don’t want to offend anyone and I know that this subject matter can be quite stressful so I’ll try to find some time that allows us all to get along
It’d be good to keep in mind that Wabi Sabi, the celebration of imperfect impermanent and incomplete, is intimately tied to this project. The other thing that I’m attracted to is harm reduction. Perfection is not a goal, and my Education never ends
In a sense this project is much like what my son and I used to do many years ago. Exchanging mixed tapes, usually for Christmas. This became an important component in my education.
The reason I’m jumping in, in a public way, has a lot to do with Donald Trump and Elon Musk, Hopefully they’ll take care of each other and we can carry on. If I do a good job on this, I’ll have a mixtape for my kids, I’ll get a bit of an education, and I’ll move Donald along and convert Elon to the peace side. But a couple other things happened as well. First of all, I have a bit of time right now being retired and all, and second of all the cost of equipment that I needed to do this project had to come down and it did, along with the software I also wanted.
I needed a really good solid laptop, and I got one that cost me like 600 bucks so it wasn’t too bad a price. But this technology is amazing and the other thing that I really needed help with was an editor, and that kind of stuff, and a research assistant and somebody to help me figure out how to use this computer properly and stuff and I found mine… it’s ChatGPT. So yeah yeah yeah can’t trust nothing that’s coming out of me because I’m totally tied into all this technology and if it’s a good thought or not so much a good thought but if it’s an intelligent thought, it’s probably come from ChatGPT.
I have made myself a private tutor. I call her auntie Noah, and she’s been awesome, and hopefully we’ll just carry on and put together some good shows. But if you’re offended by that kind of thing I think you should know right off that I’ve got some great help. I’m not particularly bright, but I know how to use a couple of pieces of equipment and this is pretty Ernest in that. I’d like my kids to listen to it and give me some feedback. And they’ll put me on track so if I make that kind of connection with my kids and they know what I’m thinking and stuff, and they do. We’ve talked about lots of this stuff before. They kinda laugh at me, but this way I get a chance to sort of develop my thoughts more fully, and Yeah if I could communicate, if I could transfer, if I could get them to see what I see in sociology, or if I can get them to be as charged as I am about learning, and sociology in particular, that would be really cool. I’d love to see Jackie get into sociology. Might be really interesting. I have three children and they all are doing just fine. They don’t need nothing but damn I love my subject, that’s my.. it’s my culture. It’s my heritage to me so if I could figure out a way of passing it on, that would be really cool and I haven’t really Shaped the music into something for a specific person. The music is mostly stuff that I either really like or that I think connects my sociological concepts with what I’m talking about.

Nothing that follows is important. It will not change your life. You have to do that. I am concerned, however, that someone could be misled so I think it would be wise to start off with a little warning sociology not ScOtt is a wild ride. It can be confusing or so common senscical you have to wonder why they mentioned it at all. It can be inspiring, or depressing. For me it just works. I don’t want to turn people off of sociology. I think it’s got a lot of Merit. but I don’t know the subject very well. I’ve got a little bit of help here and I’ll take advantage of that but if the subject really intrigues you, there’s lots of references here to help you on your way. I want to continue my studies i believe in lifelong education and in directing that education myself, I think occasionally reconnecting with university, but as we go, we’ll see if that’s in the books. I’m into it one day and not the next, so we’ll see.

Duhmocery Democracy
I’ve been working on a show that I really want to play with. It’s not important, so I’ll put it on Friday night 10 to 12. It’s a podcast, posing as a radio show so that I can use the music and such that I want. CFYT has the rights to the music and I have the ‘rights’ to the “and such part.”
I’ve done something like this before and it really pushed me to think and work in a field that I really enjoy sociology. I also like humour of a sort, and music of lots of sorts so your pants and lets get into it.
Duhmocery Democracy
What brings me back at this point is Donald Trump. Now you can’t help noticing the polarizing nature of US politics,and many of you may run when you hear his name. That’s a good plan if political crap gets you down. I want to make this a fun show but clearly different people will see this differently as it should be. I’m looking for people that don’t mind joking around about politics, and like to listen to great music. I got a bunch of that. Don’t take this show too seriously cause i am an idiot. Yes I have an honours degree from UBC after which I became a janitor and made my fortune. I majored in Sociology which continues to inform and fascinate me.
I am serious and that should make you laugh, but I love this world. I want to be a part of it and while I’m outrageously optimistic, we are in a bit of a fix, as I see it. We are in the middle of duhmocery democracy.
I don’t know for sure, but I think the American election of Donald Trump for the second time is the defining definition of duhmockery democracy. I think the American public for the most part knew who Donald Trump really was and voted for him in a mostly fair election. We have a new president.
What makes a lot of my relatives forgive me who would’ve voted for Trump if they had the opportunity is that I didn’t like Biden much better than I do Trump and I probably would’ve voted for somebody like Ralph Nader, Jill Stein, maybe but thing is I don’t go there either. I do my voting up here and actually I’ve seen a lot of guys up in the Yukon that I’d vote for Sandy Silver actually seem like a really decent guy. Of course I don’t know But I’d probably vote green anyways if I could, I’m not sure depends. We’ll see we’ll see cause our boats coming up folks.

I’m hoping I can contribute a little bit here, but it is just my attempt at synthesizing my introduction to sociology and I call it sosillyology.
I feel in need to put the silly in sociology because a lot of what I’m gonna have to say is not really from sociologist as much as it is from people who write about social things so Carl Marx wasn’t a sociologist. He was a historian and a pretty good one. But most sociologists consider Marx to be foundational. Contributor. As is max weber
But even more than that as you’ll see in chapter 2, where we tackle technology, I make total use of artificial intelligence in the sense of ChatGPT to craft this particular work, so it’s not really me. You blame chat or some of those really smart sociologist and their ilk .
